The Unwanted Noose Poem by Sandra Feldman

The Unwanted Noose

Politics,
The Story of Corruption,
Of mass manipulation,
The cause of World damnation.
Tragic perpetuation.

Politics,
'The more it changes,
the more it remains, the same'
'For the people, and By the people'
Always their worst played game.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Today, nothing to be proud of.
Corruption, all the way.

I don't see the present candidates as equal in the corruption. I'm choosing to do my best to stay positive on this one despite concerns because I think our country depends on us voting. There are some positives like a woman getting on the ballot for the first time in our country, the millions of young people that are getting interested in voting and public service, and watching my own children starting to become more aware of the world, the political process, and in becoming involved outside their own selves. But yes, it sure is complicated and imperfect..and often corrupt.

Education of the voting public and perhaps a one term limit for all offices would help, but the wealthy would still find a way to run things their way
