The Way I Feel Poem by Veronica Powers

I want to express,
My words to flow.
For you to understand
How deep this story goes.
My sentiments to be considered,
My thoughts not to be brushed off.
There’s so much emotion
But I can’t find the emoticon to put on.

I feel this heavy lethargy set over me,
I sway on my feet,
My mind a swirling mess,
The words just don’t make sense.
I lay down and think to myself,
Maybe I’m not meant to express these feelings at all.
