The Welcome Poem by kristen Elyse

The Welcome

Rating: 4.5

Living day to day is hard for some people
their lives are like a repeating sequel.
They need something in there lives to make it not dull
so they end up playing people like a fool.
They tell them they love them and then get their hearts
so when they get bored the rip them apart.
They think it is so funny and laugh slyly
leaving the brokenhearted crying viciously.
They have to watch him with his next pray
but all they do is sit with nothing to say.
Their hearts are so torn it is hard to keep living
all day with nothing but continuouse crying.
They turn to someone who would always care
always knowing the number of every hair.
He embraces them with love and a gentle welcome
whispering a quiet but sweet word that was custom.
When people hear that love they know what to do
when they hear the quiet, sweet, “I love you.”
With spoken love making them feel revived
their dead hearts coming so alive.
They shun the man who sees the change
wondering they loved him because he is so strange.
They lean on the love that welcomed them in
who loved them so much to erase every sin.
You see this love, loves us so much
he can even bring alive a heart from a broken crush.
