The Cemetery Poem by kristen Elyse

The Cemetery

Rustling winds catch my attention
something happened here mysterious and dark
I look around feeling tight tension
what strange wonder left this mark?
a howling dog brings bumps on my skin
the chill makes my breath go cold
imagination jolts again
as I try to appear so bold
Did some untimely death take place here?
a sinister monster, an angry brute?
hidden whispers tease my ear
I want to call out but it seems I am mute
I walk out where it is dark and alone
in this graveyard trying to hide my fear
so scared I hear an imaginary moan
low and sad, it penetrates my ear

Very vivid Kristen... I like how your mind thinks.
