The World Un-Word Poem by Babalola Augustine Adeola

The World Un-Word

Leave me to my world.
In my cubic-empire.
In content i have found contentment.

Save me of your ideology.
We sleep in different directions.
My dreams differs from your nightmare

Tune me not to your stereo.
Your music makes me sleep
And they invite sorrows to my soul.

My admiration you detest.
My poison, your poisson.
So?

You fly foggy sky
I navigate the turbulent sea
We both move.

Your beauty is ugly.
My beauty is disgusting.
Our beauty do not exist.

Your values conflict my norms.
My norms allien to your ways,
Does not make me backward.

You might have travelled miles ahead with civilzation
Does not marry me with the barbarics.
We both are.

You can forecast the rain,
I can stop it.
We are both masters of our homes.

Tell Aduke to stay with Akanmu
As her enchantment recipes have expired.
T'ofunmi is sufficient for me.

You play,
We dance
That's what makes the party.
