Thespian Poem by Ffor Jamie

Thespian

No lights, cameras. No birds
in the cages on the crowded stage;
only actors who locked themselves in.
Old men applaud on their feet

because children sleep in the front row
tired of pretence, scripts,
heroes who never burn.
