True love is one of a kind.
Something you struggle within to find.
You search for it deep in your heart.
To share with the one you never want to be apart.
Like the flower that blooms only once and never again.
Its beauty and fragrance is too hard to explain;
You feel it only once and you will know it at once.
All you get might be just one chance.
And you just want to grab it and run.
Run to a land not seen by man or sun.
For its far too precious for you to lose.
To your heart you want to hold it close.
To keep it with your heart and soul you will fight.
You’ll give up everything till then you had held tight.
To the whole world this love you would declare
With no other this love you will share.

That’s how I felt when I loved you.

You knew me like no other woman ever has.
You saw a side of me no other woman ever will.
Vulnerable and weak is what I became.
For by your love I was captivated and bound.
The way you touched me,
Made me feel you knew what my soul wanted.
The way into my eye you used to look.
It felt you could read my heart like an open book.
When you hugged and held me.
I felt you taking away all my sadness and pain.
From you I couldn’t keep any secrets.
For I loved you without any regrets
The words you whispered into my ears
Has become a song I hear my lonely heart silently sing.
What I saw in your eyes was my true love.
My first love, my first love is what I finally had.
No other women with you can I compare.
To me you are a gem so rare.
With you true love I did attain.
And my true love you will always remain.
