This Is England Poem by Justin Gildow

This Is England

Call upon the sun
Call upon the rain
The flowers have blossomed
The trees are fully covered
in leaves of green
This is England

Looking at the children
As they run down the paths happily
They don't care what's outside
the gates
Or what's far away
This is England to them

I'm carrying a cup of soda in my hand
Seeing many things as I walk
Walking here, there, anywhere, and
everywhere
Being in a world of my own
Fantasy and reality are colliding
But this is England to me

Some are rich
Some are poor
Some are nobles
Some are peasants
Life is a lot of things for all of them
Peaceful yes
Wild maybe
But to all of them
This is England
