This Is Hell Poem by Paula Glynn

This Is Hell

I don't need to watch Hellraiser:
I'm already living it.
My heart bleeds,
I am all alone,
In a world made of stone.

I have no friends:
Only traitors and enemies,
My achievements,
Down the pan;
My faith vanished.

I am doomed to this peril,
I am doomed to suffer,
Bleed and cry,
This life created by hell.

Hell has created,
A painful and powerful spell,
Like a witch would conjour up;
And I try to run,
But my feet are stuck.

The devil's music plays,
And I am trapped,
In the devil's story,
As he peels and burns,
My skin.

The temperature is increasing,
The pressure increases,
And I can only watch,
As the devil's people laugh,
The devil quick,
To cut those happy dreams,
In half; like he would,
A steak.

Knives pierce and cut my skin,
The devil to win.
As he makes me cry,
He makes me listen,
To their mocking laughter.
So hear me now;
Time is my only friend.
