This Is How I Was Made Poem by Paula Glynn

This Is How I Was Made

Rating: 4.0

This is how I was made,
And I am proud,
I am an angel at heart,
And share my thoughts aloud,
My mother loved me,
As did my father,
And the whole world,
Knows this is how I was made.

I feel no jealousy of superstars,
For I am a star myself,
I reach across the universe,
To find my true self,
And glitter with those stars.

I drink my coffee every morning,
No day ever dull or boring,
And I go out into the world,
Being the wonderful person I am,
And I love all the people,
That walk this earth,
For I know everyone has worth.

I am honest but tactful,
I am sensitive and emotive,
I know your thoughts,
And your heart's desires,
For we all have desires:
And not just romantically,
We all want our friends to be happy,
And to not see them cry,
Or even - tragically - want to die,

For we love all our friends,
And with me, friendship never ends,
For friends will be friends,
And on them I depend,
Knowing I am vivacious,
Honest yet loving,
Friendly and fun,
Stylish but never a fashion victim,
Or someone who pressures others.

I am fabulous and I am intelligent,
And being nasty never makes sense,
And even when others are so,
Deep down I know,
I do not let them waste my time,
For they shall never enter my mind,
And turning to my friends,
They agree with me,
For this is how I was made,
And in this life I am happy,
Content, creative, passionate,
And never afraid.
