This You Do Too Often Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

This You Do Too Often

I hear you when you say,
You mean well.
And that I do not dispute.
However...
It seems as if it is after the fact,
That you do it!

You mean well?
And if it was truly meant...
None of your excuses,
You would put me through.
And this you do too often,
For me to keep any confidence in you.

You mean well?
For and to 'whom' has this been proven?
Since there is nothing you have left me with,
To believe this!
At least provide me with some evidence.
