Those Awkward Moments Poem by Justin Hand Gregory

Those Awkward Moments

Have you ever... went for a sunday stroll,
Walking along not bothering a soul.
Then you see that person that looks a bit like your friend?
To get his attention you jump and you wave,
Speak even louder than your deaf Uncle Dave.
Suddenly, you realize 'Oh my god that's not my friend'!
That's just some random guy named Ben.

Have you ever... sat their in silence,
Just minding your own.
Reading a book, or even your phone.
And then you feel that bubble of gas,
That came from your stomach... Right down to your... BUTT.
Paranoia kicks in as this gas bubble grows,
You start to feel as if the entire world knows?
And just when you thought the gas bubble finally stopped,
You hear a loud noise like your butt just popped. (fart noise)

Have you ever... walked down the hall,
Feeling as confident as ever.
Shining so bright, feeling so clever.
You see that hot girl you've wanted to talk to forever?
You get so caught up in your passionate stare,
You didn't even notice that big, obvious chair.
You crash, and you trip, tumble and fall.
Now that girl would rather a cop from the mall.

But don't worry everyone no matter how many times,
You wave, fart or fall, just remember it will happen to us all!
