Tick-Tock - Losing Patience Poem by Russel Choudhury

Tick-Tock - Losing Patience

Tick-tock, tick-tock, goes the hand of time
Tick-tock, tick-tock, goes this life of mine
If all the whole world was to be nothing but a playtime
Tick-tock, tick-tock, why do I feel like the one left behind

If the whole world was in my hands
Spinning on it’s axis, as rotating demands
Slipping away is every moment from what is man’s
Behold! The earth be stripped from it’s play to what the Divine plans!

For Patience and forbearance is coming from the steadfast
And for those who lack; remain committed, don’t you have faith, we’re asked
Losing our endurance are we over this task
But we’re told to remember The Day that shall be the Last

Coming from the great Trumpet shall come that Blast
And the Judgement of God upon us will come to pass
Whilst we wait for that Day, is life to be a farce
As the time is winding down, is it away from us that Heavens eyes are cast?

For, tick-tock, tick-tock, goes the hand of time
For, tick-tock, tick-tock, goes this life of mine
If all the whole world was to be nothing but Heavens Design
Tick-tock, tick-tock, why do I feel like the one left behind
