A bond created at an early age
Nights begging, hoping, wishing,
The sweet sound of her voice
Eventually went away
But only veraciously

Beauty never forgotten
Though through the years
Growth in physicality
But mental stability
Remains the same

Longing for her
Young but yet wise
Wisdom wasn’t enough
To suffice for the one
I dreamed of loving

Dark nights of tears and pain
Wistfully faded away
A new life and new love
Took over me and I knew
That this dream would remain as is

Seemingly a lifetime later
We have been reunited
Same face, same body,
And undeniably
It is the same you

Time has separated us
Only to bring us together
It’s difficult to understand the design
We’ll continue to grow and try
To understand the plans in Time’s mind
