Time To Contemplate Poem by Sharbaniranjan Kundu

They say our origin is Big bang.
Ahhhh! It is just one reference.
For our universe.
Big bang is some initial value, i=0.
What about i=-1? , -2, -3, ...?
If human being has come by evolution
then other universes may have other life forms today.
By evolution they could be different looking.
May be they are in the age of dinosaurs
but not inhabited by dinosaurs.

How much beyond will you go?
How far? How deep?
With what resources?
Earth is finite.
How many space probes will you do?

Shall we extinct all life forms
and then us?

Though quest for knowledge we can not stop,
though technology will marvel,
should we not stop enacting Kalidasa
cutting the branch we are saddled on.

Gear down human progress.
Time has come to cut down on development
and contemplate.
