Lo! Tis time to laugh my dear
For later tears are to be shed
Bring that smile and lose all fear
As hereafter I’ll be gone and dead
Life! Is too short but sweet
So live it full to drink
Open thy arms and sweetly greet
Each day as it shrink
Leaf thy pages of untold dreams
And place it upon the eyes of all
Blush not thee, dost not wean
If gone now time, it come not shall
Speak thy feelings all - crept
Inside O’childish heart of thine
Reveal all that inside thee kept
For Tis time for thee to shine
Hearken! Tis time to laugh my dear
For later tears‘re to be shed
Bring that smile and drain thy fear
As hereafter – I’ll be gone and dead….
