To Come Down Here Poem by Pierre Rausch

To Come Down Here

Succeeding in any career
The gesture melodramatic
It might seem strange
Through it they entered
Could we keep it between
The deepest sound at night
I wouldn't go round
Not worry about it
Instead of returning
Expecting she had spoken
Sought her as intensely
A mirror on the wall
With a pitcher of lemonade
Advanced a number
Then suddenly, standing right
Continued to smoke heavily
Lively and worth
It makes them feel
Waited while she got on
Something would go on
It was on the top floor
Stood across the room
Tending to fall away
If there ever prevails
From now on it's another affair
