To Engulf All In Anguish Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

To Engulf All In Anguish

Debating the effects,
Of a crisis known to start.
And promises more pain,
Rising in flames.
While a fuel continues,
To engulf all in anguish.
Has become a new way of life,
That makes inflicting agony...
On those defenseless.
A way to excuse those who abuse,
In politically correct effectiveness...
Their direction to incite more heat.

And decide amongst themselves,
How it is,
The ones picked...
And chosen to be victims,
Should at least express...
Their appreciation.
Whenever the opportunity,
Affords them to get free press.
With a few minutes given,
Of forgettable respect allowed.

"'These' people,
I'm telling you all right now...
Have begun to depict us,
As monsters and thoughtless beast.
Inhumane, thoughtless, self indulging.
And...
To top that off,
Hypocritical.

And who provides them,
With the free coffee and donuts.
After we implied,
They were worthless as human beings.
How ungrateful can 'these' creatures be! "
