To Foreign Land Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

To Foreign Land

Rating: 5.0

Many birds migrate to foreign land
Groom there happily and remain as friend
It is their new home and breeding ground
Away from treacherous weather it is now newly found

Thousands of kilometers away they have flown
The distant land is not their homeland or known
Yet they know it is their new habitat with no fear
No worry about interference when they flock and rear

What have they brought along with them for alien land?
A message of peace with far reaching impact or trend
If birds can find alternative route then why not we
After all it is going to be a spot very much trouble free

Parsee came here and made India their motherland
Their loyalty was undisputable to native land
They mixed like sugar in milk and became one
That place has not been claimed so far by any one

Parsee came here and made India their motherland
Their loyalty was undisputable to native land
They mixed like sugar in milk and became one
That place has not been claimed so far by any one

Mughals invaded India and settled
They made their presence felt and battled
It was golden period and country came to be aligned
Many states accepted their dominance and signed

Today world is sitting on active volcano
The conflicts are turning like inferno
Lots o bloodshed is made much to discomfort and misery
Population suffer and new generation certainly feel sorry

It is the soil of the land that has to be adopted
Mix with the local population and suppose to be opted
If everybody is accepted as true sons of soil with no legal claim
The world can be turned into heaven with nothing to feel as shame
