[To get used to the carcass] Poem by Lucienne Stassaert

[To get used to the carcass]

To get used
to the carcass

before the death sigh
fills you out -

To get used
to the thought

what if at the stroke of now
your heart ticks out

The outcome
suddenly so close

that you're already close
to being that far
