To Live In It As Long Poem by Shalom Freedman

To Live In It As Long

This morning I am alone
With my own silence
And happiness

However hot outside
From the cool air-conditioned interior
Of this Steimatzky book store
On Emek Refaim Street
I see the world
As if all I wanted to do
Is live in it
As long as G-d
Gives me to.
