To My Love That's Never Been Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

To My Love That's Never Been

To My Love Who's Never Been

I want to be the first one you see
When first comes the morning light
I want to gently brush your hair from your cheek
and see your smile slight, turn so bright
I want to kiss you gently in the dawn
and let you know I'm there for you
someone to hold to tight
I want to think of you throughout the day
with a feeling of longing that sweet and light
only satisfied when you're in sight
knowing somehow you always have a heart for me
and treat me right
and then every day would feel brand new
and every little thing we do
would have special meaning because of you
and as time goes by
I like to think we'll be stuck together like glue
because you love me and I love you
and maybe it's possible after all
to make a beautiful emotion out of two
you ever the best part of me
and me a part of you
if dreams and fairytales cold come true
