To Rose Poem by Leonard Dantzler

To Rose

Tears run down the cheek as a dropp of rain to a Rose
I wish I stood close this time to wipe it away
Your worry weighs you down
Heavy to the shoulders of you, so put most of it on me
I wonder what you wonder when you wonder when you wander
Conceitedly concealed in your own little world
But I flew in, you cracked the door and I pushed it open a little more
You hide half-faced behind the crack I've yet to crack
I believe in the belief of believing in love
And you, Dear Rose, are nestled in the stages of Infatuation
But that can quickly change, but for you that is problematic
So I'll sit while ecstatic
And let you come around to the crown that Is rightfully yours
