To The Faraway Poem by Peter S. Quinn

To The Faraway

Rating: 5.0

I long to see the faraway, the place
Where all my dreams and hopes are waiting for me.
The land of beauty, mystery, and grace,
Where I can be myself and truly free.

But I am bound by chains of circumstance,
By duties, obligations, and by fear.
I cannot take the risk, I dare not chance
To leave behind the life that I hold dear.

And yet I wonder, what if I could go?
What if I could escape this dull routine?
What wonders would I see, what would I know?
What happiness and love could I have seen?

Perhaps one day I'll find the courage to
To break the chains and fly away with you.

The struggle between where we are and where we desire to be. The known and the unknown. Beautiful poem
