Today... 'The Brightness Of The Father's Glory' Poem by Roy Allen

Today... 'The Brightness Of The Father's Glory'

Rating: 5.0

The light of the knowledge of the glory of God
can be seen in the face of Jesus Christ my Lord.
The exact representation of His being
is shown when The Spirit enlightens our seeing.

At the right hand of the Majesty in heaven
to Him all the power and glory is given.
For the fullness of the Godhead dwells in the Lord
Who sustains all things by the power of His word.

The 'shekinah' glory of God comes shining through
as the beauty of Jesus Christ comes into view.
And the knowledge of the Glory of God we see
The head of all power and principality.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Hebrews 1: 3
The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

2 Corinthians 4: 5-6
For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness, ' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

Colossians 2: 8-10
Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

The Bible calls You by many names
each one giving a glimpse of Your glory.
Like a cut diamond radiating in the sun
with every facet depicting an aspect
of Your Divine Nature.
Today I have thought of You as
'The Brightness of the Father's glory '
