Tonight the sea is calm and fair
her mind flows unperturbed
she breathes in deep the dapper air
with wholesome silent mirth;
in forests, hills and mountain beds
her drops have lightly tread
now calls from dreams to sleeping earth
and tips the lakes and streams and brooks
reclaiming back her strength.
Wonderful imaginary. Beautifully penned. Every lines are interesting to read. How sea breathes in deep the dapper air with wholesome silent mirth is touchingly inscribed. Thanks for sharing.10
''she breathes in deep the dapper air'' - I love the alliteration in this verse; the entire poem has a calming touch to the ear!
Thank you Mihaela, for your kind words. How tranquil the sea can be, then of course things can get quite stormy with this temperamental Lady.

I love how you personify the sea as a 'she'. If you ever heard an old song titled 'Brandy', the sailor in that song sang, 'My Life, my Love, and my Lady is the Sea'. She gives, and she reclaims. Lovely poem.
