Too Good To Be True Poem by Jared Bradford

Too Good To Be True

Wow, I couldn't believe it
Couldn't believe I believed you
I asked ' Is it only me? '
You said 'yeah baby, it's just you'

Then you tried to run off
Did you think you'd succeed?
Oh well, cause you didn't
Just one less mouth to feed

But you thought you would win
And I would stop and lose
You must be living in April, baby
Cause you are a fool

We were like babies when we met
Then we grew up together
I must be in April too cause
I thought it would be forever

See, I don't run from problems
Problems run away from me
So, I guess, that you leaving
Makes me that much more free

I hope you're happy now, though
Now that we're through,
You think your stuff don't stink,
But you are Ms. P U.

Remember when I wrote you that poem?
About how I opened my heart, I put you in and locked it?
Here's another poem, but you weren't worth it
So I crumbled and burned it.

You were just too sweet
Thought to be my shining star
But I guess if your too good to be true
Then you usually are
