Total Disappointment Poem by Sandra Feldman

Total Disappointment

Rating: 3.5

Nothing is pure
Nor clean, nor good,
Today,
Nor meant to, beautifully stay
Even love has been beaten
Away,
By vulgar, animal like
Coupling,
That instead of love
Is made of drugs
And vulgarity,
Vile, ugly things
That real love
Should never say.

There's nothing good or pure today,
When will I learn it's just that way
Maybe I saw too many films, in which
True love would always win
But that's now gone and far away
As is the purity of love,
A white swan swimming in great fear
Doing it's best to stay away
From our polluted dirty sphere.
