Towards The Sea Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Towards The Sea

Towards the sea and
The seashore they passed
Pace after pace
Plod after plod

The moon shone on the heath
Roared the waves on the
Pebbles. Flowers and grasses
Bent in darkness' sheath.

Ah! how much of Earth
Be magic in the nights
Increased by the star-light
Awaiting Dawn's first light
