Every life has several layovers
Before reaching that final destination of death.
That destination which looms over our shoulders
And haunts us like some imagined shadow of a forgotten dream.
If we knew that our next plane would be our final one
Would we sit down and cry or
Would we be ready and waiting to board with our ticket in hand?
