Treacherous: #2 Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Treacherous: #2

Eyes wide awake
Like I know no somnolence
As I muse over her waters -
An oceanic splendor.

Dandified feet
As I grovel and blunder
Underneath the stars
That watch over me
Like sanctimonious sentries:

My feet dare omit exhaustion.
My soul knows no exasperation
And this heart afire, agog
In an arson's romantic chimera
Does not know extinction

Underneath the stars
Over the hills veneered
By the veer of the mercurial mist
That maneuvers to encumber
All of me

Treachery, kindled like a flame;
I know the lapses of your game
A poorly woven labyrinth
Nothing can stop me
In this sanguine infinity.
