they are supposed
to be the song of
three tears
but then you danced
like a belly queen
your hands twirl
like a galaxy of
the sky

are these tears
not enough for you?
is it indeed
true that misery
seeks company?
that most of all
we are happier
with the miseries of
other people?

three tears, three
stories of love
quashed, broken,
unrequited
and here you are
savoring
the sourness of
almost everyone.
