'Tis scorching summer once again!
Pea-fowls have not a leaf to peck.
The search for water ends in vain;
'Tis scorching summer once again!
All people ought to pray for rain.
The sweat from head dries down the neck;
'Tis scorching summer once again;
Pea-fowls have not a leaf to peck!
