True Love Poem by Juan Olivarez

True Love

When you find true love,
Bells will start to ring.
You'll listen to the morning doves,
And hear them sweetly sing.

when you find true love,
Your feet will work no more.
You'll stumble over minute stuff,
You'll bang your head on doors.

When you find true love,
Words won't come at all.
You'll mumble something very gruff,
And you won't hear others call.

When true love finds you,
You'll likely get struck dumb.
You'll be hot and flushed like with the flu,
And you will be all thumbs.

But when you gaze into her eyes,
You know you'll go the extra mile.
She'll turn you bitter lows to highs,
And you'll know it was worth while.
