Truth To Undo Ain't Cool Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Truth To Undo Ain't Cool

Popular or not,
To knock out truth to stop it.
Truth to undo ain't cool.
Evil to allow,
Like a marriage to be vowed.
The doers of it are made fools

All of this is about...
One's pigmentation.
All of this is about...
Implementing segregation.
And who it is selected to feed greed.
With it done to live life leisurely.

All of this is about...
Insecurity.
And who is left to be seen on their knees.

Evil begets evil.
Inflicting their own pain.
And told their better off,
Without those who brought them fame.
While sitting on their backsides,
Calling people names.
But where were they,
When greatness came to claim?
We're they watching TV...
Seeing history changed.

All of this is about...
One's pigmentation.
All of this is about...
Who lives leisurely.
All of this is about...
Segregation.
And truth distorted to have lies believed.

Evil begets evil.
Since a truth to undo ain't cool.
Even under steeples people practice taught evils.
But a truth to undo ain't cool.
It's like a marriage falsely vowed,
And allowing it to happen.
Only leaves those doing it fools.
To be left regretting this,
To exist.
Forever!
