I will strip you naked
from the garments
of my illusions,
and I am going to dissect
with precision
each tiny fibre of your character,
personality, heart, and soul.

As a masterful surgeon,
I am going to hold your heart in my hand
and look at it now—with a clearer vision,
unclouded by the fever of madness
that Love is!

I am going to decipher
the composition of your being
methodically, and with the meticulousity
of a lucid mind and a limpid heart.

I will spread all my old emotions
upon the table, and I will reassemble
the structure of my heart:
look at each one with a clearer vision
and try to fathom the fire
that burned my mind and heart
for so long—
