What an act of faith this poem is! And you make that faith as dramatic as possible: ONE SPARK is not even a flame, much less a fire. I've tried to light a wood fire outdoors, and watched spark after spark fizzle out, until all of a sudden one bursts into flame. But your poem puts its faith in the very first spark and the confidence it expresses that this spark will ENLIGHTEN a whole existence has become my confidence. Your equally bold statement that beauty exists in the UGLIEST TRUTH is reassuring. In Dostoevsky's THE IDIOT the title character believes BEAUTY WILL SAVE THE WORLD. No one else in the novel believes this is true. Now your affirmative poem gives me another reason to believe in the world's salvation!

It is a nice tanka on truth. Though this poem is in brief yet it has great meaning. Thanks for sharing.
