©Two faces
Love bloomed in the noon
To falter at night
Questions were asked
Justifications were made
The aura was gone
Leaving both with pained sensations.
They were so keen to meet
For years they waited
Thinking of the right moment
Should they? Shouldn’t they?
Their union remained incomplete
Halfway through they stopped
Two faces came in between
Of care and concern
Bereft of passion
Full of compassion
Like a soothing balm
That healed and calmed.
Passion and lust lost again
To a serene divinity
We mistake as mundane.
