I.
in the frozen plain
first opened evergreen bud
one flower come spring

wintersweet flowers
snow surrounding all petals
blooms or frozen buds

Note: Chimonanthus (wintersweet) is a genus of flowering plants in the family Calycanthaceae, endemic to China - it flowers at the Chinese New Year. It is also grown in Iran, called 'ice flower'.
