Two Leaves Poem by Lento Maez

Two Leaves

Rating: 3.5

There were two leaves
One was happy to be a leaf
The other wanted to be
More than just a leaf
One leaf clung to the tree
The other one fell to the ground
The clinging leaf turned yellow
Then brown.
Snow fell on it
Yet it clung to the branch
The leaf that fell decomposed
And it helped a flower grow
The brown leaf died
But did not rise again
The fallen leaf came to life
As a beautiful flower
