Two Wrongs Won't Make A Right. Poem by Michael Kelsall

Two Wrongs Won't Make A Right.

Rating: 5.0

Hate can't breed love like lies wont breed truth.

take not an eye for an eye, nor a tooth for a tooth.

Because vengeance breeds vengeance,
No matter how fair.
A cycle that thrives on pain and despair.

So try to...

Be humble and not driven by lust, jealousy or desire,
an dont step on one and other to climb just one more step higher.

Instead be empowered by generosity and love,
And for those below still climbing offer your hand from above.

No life path is equal, no one race is the same, no false starts, no previews, no entitlements to claim.

Dont dewl on your beginnings or they will dictate where you will end.
On your own efforts and persistence your success does depends.

A lovely work, its word to live by, though without desire, their is nothing to inspire for that which we yearn and raise to achieve. Still a good poem, worth a read.

Being a poet means we do not head our poems with a cliche. And we definitely do not use cliches in our poems. Originality is what we should always strive for.
