U.S.A. Tears Poem by Jess Soto

U.S.A. Tears

Rating: 5.0

The dream was built upon the land that was believed to be a utopia...
How the nation that was bullied
Became the guardian angel of the world.

The lady was meant to be taken care of...
Not torn apart.
When our bretheren suffer from hunger,
We complain of fast food.
When our bretheren suffer from insomnia,
We complain of the mattress.
When our bretheren suffer from heat,
We complain of the energy bill.

Our lady, I weep for you!
How I wish that your intestines and heart...
Would come together and function as one body!
(Rather than two seperate entities)

These American tears I cry,
Are for hope...not dread.
I weep for a future,
That our fathers dreamed of.

A shame to your lungs,
To your kidneys,
To your stomach itself!
They should be connected to work as a normal body!

(It is no wonder our pain still resides)
No surgeon can fix you,
Until the inner body is aligned with the spirit and mind.

So I cry!
I cry!
That it happens soon!
Let our barriers drop!
Let our spirit show!
And save the world once and for all!
