Time showed me friends and friendships
Time showed me enemies and enmity;
Time showed me family and neighbors
Time showed me school and education
Time showed me physics and chemistry
Time showed me geography and history
Time showed me maps of countries
Time showed me pages of history
Time showed me the pictures of war
Time showed me real wars
Time showed me the war in Kuwait,
Time showed me the war in Iraq and Syria
Time showed me the worst of the worst wars
Time showed me the war In Ukraine
Time showed me their pain and sufferings
Time showed me the deaths and destruction
Time showed me apartments and building afire
Time showed me bombs and explosions
Time showed me deaths of people
Time showed me deaths of children
Time showed me people fleeing
Time showed me dead bodies of soldiers
Time showed me unbearable sights
Time showed me unbelievable terror;
Time showed me all what I had read in history
Time showed me what I never expected
Time showed me barbarism;
Time showed me all this in Ukraine
Time showed me sorrow more than my own;
Time showed me tears of that country;
Time showed me the fears of that nation
Time showed me the struggle of those people
Time showed me their pains and injustice
Time showed me their helplessness and homelessness
Time showed me the life my eyes never saw before;
Time showed me all this in a nation called Ukraine
why Time, why- I asked and wept for those people.
