Umbrella Poem by Sunny Rose

Umbrella

Rating: 4.5

Pacing forward holding hands
They go along through the hills
And valleys and beautiful seas
As i stood there watching them
I reached my hands into my empty pocket
It was cold and filled with silence
I looked at my watch quietly
It lay motionless on my wrist
I gave a long pause and another and another and another.....
Till the rain falls down from the skies

I never had an umbrella
Because you had one
And I'll never have one
Because it won't rain above the clouds

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
There are both literal and metaphorical meanings.Let me choose some lines and explain a little
My empty pocket-my heart, watch laying motionless on my wrist-i was stuck in time i wasn't moving on
The last stanza says i had someone that love me, used to protect me from the rain with her umbrella. Won't rain above the clouds means or signifies i'm gonna die, doesn't rain in heaven, she's either dead so i'm going after her in heaven or she left me so i'm gonna
I know you must be pissed off for writing stupid metaphors. sorry
