I’ve watched my love for you
Under construction in my heart
Like a pair of wrens
Building their nest
Outside my kitchen window
I’ll never touch them
But just knowing they’re there
Makes me smile
I'll keep the cat away

In this writing, it is much more clear than the last poem which I just reviewed as to what was missing in the last. Normally, I tell the writer to make the poem as short as possible. That doesn't mean you remove a critical transition or don't put one in, which I believe is what happened here. This has two verses. It probably needs three. It is still very good. But if either of these two verses can stand alone. Then you have a problem. Still, a good read. GW62
