Under Estimated Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Under Estimated

Relentlessly under estimated.
Are the ones believed mild and weak.
Always respectful and expressing,
Sincerity to give it.
Whether accepted or not.
Even when treated by deceiving misdeeds.

Yet...
Like a storm warned not to ignore.
Or perceive the warnings,
Should not be taken seriously.

A thunder begins from a distance heard.
As if to just mumble through the air.
Leaving no one prepared.
For what comes that leaves,
Their surprising eyes opened wide.
Something is coming.
Warning 'Do Not Trespass.
Beware!
Do NOT approach.
Or my foot...
Will visit your aspirations.
This is not the day of days,
I am having your selfish ways.'

Relentlessly,
Gone to under estimate...
Are those to 'assume',
Born with endless tolerance and patience.
To take for granted.
And regardless who,
May tell a lie or two on them told...
People like this are seldom known,
Enough of B.S.
They have taken.
And back...
It will be thrown.

Ignored goes this storm that warns.
Fresh signs are passed.
Along with manicured grass.
Unnoticed to have been recently cut.

-Hmmm.
The door is open.
I wonder what that means?
Am I invited in?
Or...
Am I being dared? -

And...
Like a wind that blows,
As if a tornado...
Intending to leave debris.
He. She. Them or They say,

"Take that!
What you did to do to me.
Take your crap right back! "
Heard this is to hear it said.
"Take that!
What you did to do to me.
Who in 'Hell' do you think I am?
Your mama's homemade jam?
To leave the top off the jar!
Believing me to be available,
Pleasing to satisfy your needs...
Whenever you want.
Wherever you are.
And whenever you can?

What or who do you think I am?
A fool to use, lie to and deceive?
Get your thoughtless,
ungrateful self away from me! "

-Uh...
So...uh...
I assume,
You're not in the mood...
To sing Christmas carols.-
