Unfinished Story Poem by Randy McClave

Unfinished Story

My life is just a book
If you ever want to give it a look,
And I wish that all would take heed
From the chapters that they might read.
The pages have already been wrote
But, it isn't finished yet, this I quote,
Everyday it is still being written
From me being used, hated and smitten.
Tomorrow will be another chapter
Hopefully containing jokes and laughter,
Or maybe me helping a close friend
Or maybe me falling in love might be penned.
There will be pages that might catch your eye
Which might even cause you to cry,
And their might be chapters that you must read again
All because of abuse, addiction and sin.
And if you happened to notice my cover
It's almost identical to some other,
Their book might be already finished or almost done
While mine has just begun.
Before you look at me do not judge
Before you talk about me do not hold a grudge,
This I say which is all true
Please just wait until my book is through.
Before you start spreading gossip about my life
Remember their has been pain, and failures, and strife,
But, after the sadness and suffering there is great glory
Because God, hasn't finished yet writing my story.
