Ungratefulness Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Ungratefulness

An ungratefulness to express and be shown.
Reveals a thoughtless mindlessness,
Disconnected from a thankfulness.
One ungrateful can not appreciate to confess.
To let this heard to be known.
Yet others hear exaggerated embellishments.
For the purpose of those,
Seeking to get attention for themselves.
With a doing of this to dismiss,
Others to discredit their involvement to allow...
Lies told to have believed,
One ungrateful achieved alone and on their own...
A life to live without being assisted,
By another who has given.
Done to do,
With sacrifice.
And living a life to be grateful.
Knowing a thankfulness to express,
Is seldom by anyone to be disbelieved.
