Universe-Outer Space Poem by Mary Mc Creath

Universe-Outer Space

Outer Space is not empty
It can bend and twist,
It is so real it helps
Shape all around us.
It is the very fabric
Of the cosmos.

There is also inner space.
If all Space were removed
from Atoms in Empire State
Building, the remaining matter
Would be the size of a grain of rice
and weigh millions of tons.

Science is saying that our world
Is two dimensional and is projected
As the three D world that we see
From the surface of a black hole
In a distant part of our universe.

So space fills out our world to give
The illusion of a three D world,
That is only really a flat world
And no more than a projection
Of the matter that it contains.

And that is that!
Or is it?
