Unknown Blaze Poem by Alex McCullough

Unknown Blaze

Moving through the endless night,
Life soon becomes a game,
One which you can't reset,
Or start over.
My mind echoes unknown thoughts,
As the world around me continues to move,
Needing only pain and joy,
To continue onto its fated course.
Nothing becomes everything,
And soon there is nothing again,
I wonder which will stop first,
This cycle or mine?
With all of this in my head,
It feels like time has stopped for me,
But looking into your eyes,
I remember that you keep me moving.
Like a flame,
My heart sways back and forth,
Recalling our time together,
From the very beginning to this point.
I want to jump over the edge,
And dropp down into your arms,
So I can wrap my arms around,
The one I chose to protect and love.
Passion set a blaze,
And petals cast to the wind,
I'll keep running forward,
Till I'm by your side once again.
